Digital Love Letters

This Valentine's Day, as the world celebrates love in its many forms, together with our partners at York St John University’s Cinema and Social Justice project, and York Business School, we're proud to announce the online release of our celebrated film "Nature Matters". Intended as a ‘love letter to nature,’ this beautiful short film is a poignant cinematic ode to the British countryside with a call to action to protect it.

A love letter to nature and a call to action.  Nature Matters is a timely short film which speaks across generations, using over a century of archive footage to remind us of our innate relationship with the natural world. Sophia Gray - Work Placement

Sophia Gray is an A-level student from North Yorkshire who recently undertook a 2-day work experience placement with Yorkshire Film Archive. Something’ll Happen by Friday Screening (Thursday, 23 February 2023, 3pm and 6.30pm, Whitby Museum)
