Sunderland on Film

This special DVD was produced by the North East Film Archive, working closely with Sunderland Council’s Library Services.  Featuring footage from our vaults and additional material from ITV Archives and the BFI National Archive, Sunderland on Film is a great opportunity to look back and celebrate the city’s glorious past.

The heyday of the shipping industry, the footballing triumphs, and also the more familiar scenes over the decades. Family outings to Roker beach, the local paper, the new housing estates of the 1960s, and the much-loved corporation buses.

Take a trip back in time with the Sunderland on Film DVD, re-live the memories of former days, and celebrate Sunderland today - proud, resilient and eager to share its rich cultural heritage.

Sunderland on Film is priced at £10 plus £2 postage and packing.  To buy your copy using PayPal or credit/debit card, click on 'Add to Cart' and follow the instructions.
