Made by Derek Walton, this film features a holiday to Switzerland in 1954.  The film includes different destinations in the country including Lucerne and Interlaken.  Title - A Holiday in Switzerland Title – Photography by D P Walton Two women and a man are shown walking away from a shop carrying suitcases.  A plane takes off from an airport, and two men carry a placard stating, ‘Air Kruise’.  Passengers board a plane, and the take-off, flight, and landing is filmed from on board.  The passengers disembark and get picked up by a bus.  The journey is filmed from on board the bus. Intertitle – Basle They film parts of Basle from the top of an open air bus. Intertitle – Lucerne There is a sign for the Flora Hotel.  They take a coach trip to see the surrounding mountains and go up a mountain lift.  They continue on the ground filming people and places, including the lake and the city.  Three women wander around in the sun, visiting various tourist sights.  They take a boat trip on the lake and later write postcards at a café. They show a plaque for Wilhem Tell.  They then take a trip through the valleys filming as they go. They stop off at a mountain village and visit some caves, before continuing their journey. They visit Grimsel Pass and continue their journey by car, showing waterfalls, rivers and mountains. Intertitle – Interlaken The holidaymakers go on a walking tour of the town, visiting the parks and watching a parade with a brass band.  They then go on a pleasure boat cruise.  A group of holidaymakers are shown at a café near waterfalls.  They then go up in a chair lift, visiting Berg restaurant at 7100 feet, surveying the panoramic view of the mountains. Intertitle – Berne There is a brief glimpse of a zoo. Intertitle – Basle The flight back is filmed from on board, and there is a sunset. Title – The End.
