Title - Centenary Pageant
People arrive in historic costume at the school to see a performance put on by the children who are being dressed up in preparation. The parents sit around the edge of a lawn as the children come out in a historical pageant, starting in medieval times and moving through the centuries. Introduced from the platform by headmistress Norma Fairs, it starts with the 13th century heathen harvest ceremony. The commentary explains what each of the episodes enacted by the children represents. They then perform country dancing. Some people make speeches and they all eat, served by women in Victorian costume.
Title – The End.
