The film opens with a woman standing at a house gate. Next are shots of a street near the docks at Hotham Street in Hull. This is followed by both interior and exterior footage of Stewart & Craig Engineers. It is a ship repair business, and men can be seen near badly damaged ships in the dock. There is a panning shot of the boat damage. Four men walk towards the camera before more scenes of the shop and docks. There are also men aboard a working ship.
