The film begins footage of Knaresborough taken from an elevated position. Much of the town can be seen including large café near the water, and the viaduct is in the background. Following this is footage of a large monument. There is a car parked by the side of the monument, and people walk around the structure, examining the monument from various angles.
The next portion of the film features a lively carnival. Houses have been decorated with bunting, and out in a field tents and tables have been set up for the carnival. A large crowd has turned out for the event, and the filmmaker focuses on some of the individuals enjoying the day’s festivities. Many of the people are dressed in hats and overcoats.
A man and woman play a ring toss game, and after which, the woman speaks to an old man with a long white beard. Another woman stands near the Doll Stall which consists of a table filled with different kinds of dolls on display. Other people who have turned out for the event can be seen around the different stalls. There is a Produce Stall with a small table including jam on display. A variety of items are for sale at the stalls including flowers and hair brushes. Women work the stalls while shoppers come by to inspect the merchandise.
