The film opens with crowd-lined streets in the city centre. Policemen on horseback escort the royal car through the streets, and the King and Queen can be seen in the open-top car.
At the University, there is a conductor standing on a small raised platform from where he conducts a large choir. Members of the choir are reading from sheet music. Members of the University are dressed in caps and gowns, and a huge audience has gathered for the event. Chairs have been set up on the lawn, and there is also additional seating in raked stands.
The film ends with the beginning of a procession led by members of the clergy.
