This film documents a gymnastics class at Keighley Girls Grammar School. The film begins on the school lawn where trees and red flowers can be seen.  Four girls dressed in blue shorts and t-shirts stand with a woman in a red jacket and skirt. Laid out on the lawn are mats and an exercise beam. The girls stand on the mats in pairs, facing the other pair across the beam. Two girls on opposite corners vault over the beam, do a forward summersault, and spring up in the other’s place. The other two girls run up to the beam, land on it on one leg, jump off and turn as they go, landing in each other’s starting positions. The girl nearest the camera on the right hand side, and her diagonal partner run on to and, spin on the beam with arms outstretched and spin off into the other’s places, while the other two summersault over the beam. All four girls summersault away from the beam and then back towards it.  Repetition of exercises so far, but in a slightly longer shot. All four girls perform a handstand, rolling onto their backs and laying across the beam on their stomachs, with arms and legs raised skywards, each lowers her front half so her hands are braced on the floor, raising her legs. The girl nearest the camera on the right hand side and her diagonal partner summersault off the beam, the other two lower themselves and swing around on the beam so they face one another, stand astride the beam, and support the other two girls as they tumble and vault over the beam. The two girls on the beam cartwheel along and off the beam, and lie on their backs on the mats with the beam held up off the ground by their legs. The two other girls summersault over the raised beam, before cartwheeling back towards the beam, and taking it off the feet of the two girls. They turn the beam 90 degrees and rest one, raised, on the knees of one of the girls. The other girl summersaults along the beam before flipping off the raised end. Two girls hold the beam at shoulder height while the other two balance and walk on it. The beam and mats have gone, and the four girls tumble, summersault, cartwheel and various other exercises on the lawn. One girl tumbles about on the grass, performing handstands, cartwheels, summersaults and various exercises. The next girl takes her turn, while the last two girls perform as a pair.
