This film features a school trip of 4th Year Trip to Boreatton Park, Shropshire in 1981.  Boreatton Park is an adventure holiday camp which specializes in educational activities.   The film opens with a row of buses lined up at the edge of a school property.  A group of people stand around by the buses, and a street of houses is visible in the background. An aeroplane taxies down a runway, past cars and other planes, and below a bridge full of people.  There is a shot from in front of the plane as the steps are wheeled towards it followed by footage of British Airways planes on the tarmac. The camera follows a plane taking off and films it getting further away. A group of students stand watching the planes and later start running around and playing up for the camera. A man, behind a row of metal railings, holds on to the bars and jumps up and down.  A group of students sit on a bench in a park, and the camera films a duck looking for food.  The students stand on the bench and throw food to the ducks around them.  After a shot of the birds on the lake, the camera shows students on the shore throwing food to a swan in the shallow water. A group of students stands next to a field, petting a horse over the fence. The camera films a family of birds nestling in the grass next to the lake. A boy swings across from a tree on an aerial tyre swing and is helped down from the swing by people in orange jackets.  Another person in an orange jacket walks up a hill path towards the trees and swing, and more people take their turns on the swing. A boy in an orange jacket crosses a tree trunk that has been laid across a shallow pit filled with water. The camera follows other children as they cross, some quite shakily. One student wobbles and falls into the water. He is helped out and looks embarrassed in front of the camera. Everyone else seems to make it across safely. Inside a hall, students stand looking out of the window. Next, students are on the lake in small sailing boats. One appears to have capsized. A group of three students in a green boat wave at the camera. Some are in canoes. Another boat has capsized, and a child swims about trying to right it. One of the chaperones in a canoe helps him. Now in a yard, some children pet two horses while the rest line up in their orange and blue jackets and red safety helmets, waiting for a lesson. The camera films a peacock looking for food in the grass. Children stand at the gates of animal pens, looking at the farm animals within, the camera zooms in on a cow nestled in some straw. Four children look at a full grown cow which stands by the gate of her pen. In the yard boys are being given lessons with air rifles. Two boys walk beside a red brick building, soon they are followed by a stream of students and teachers. The students are running and jumping excitedly, waving to the camera and jumping up and down right in front of it. In a wooded area the children, in their bright jackets, are being instructed on abseiling. The camera films over the edge of the hill/cliff and down to the river below as the first students make their way down the cliff face. Other students at the bottom of the cliff are playing on climbing ropes and swings. The camera films from below as students make their way over the top, and as their reach ground level. Children stand at the edge of the woods, looking over the fence into a caravan park with a large, red brick building beyond. They open the gate and pass through. A horse and cart drives in front of the camera, and the camera follows them. As the camera turns a large group of students comes into view. They are standing next to buses, in front of the red brick building, waving and jumping excitedly, and start to run towards the camera.
