A shot shows several white houses below a green hill, before a group of students run (comically) down a street and cross the ticker tape. The students and teachers walk down a path wearing multi-coloured waterproofs, before trekking through the highlands around Sheildaig, while the filmmaker stops to get panoramic views of the hills and lochs. Shots then show a couple of students sitting around on the grass and a boy climbing a tree.
A sequence then shows some trick photography on a veranda; one boy stands below pretending to hold up several people, and throughout people instantly swap clothes and position. The school group then stand around a car, before exploring more Lochs and one shot shows a teacher holding up an indigenous flower.
'The national trust for Scotland Inverewe garden' can then be read on the side of a house, before there are close ups of some of the horticulture in the national trust garden and a wide view which shows the students exploring. The following sequence captures some of the native birds who inhabit the highland area. A student moors a boat up against the rocks. There are more views of the students standing around the water's edge, taking pictures and shots that show the students speeding around the loch on the boat before dragging it up the beach.
The next sequence captures the students and teachers hanging around the cottage and village roads, which includes a brief comic scene that involves a student being tied to boulder for possessing contraband. The final sequence shows a view of loch and then shots from a boat capture birds nesting along the banks.
