Shots then show the students playing football; first on a clearing filled with dry leaves, and then on a clay pitch surrounded by continental style chalets. A shot then captures the exterior of a gothic church with a mechanical display. There are then views of the students exploring the Lyons market and taking in the architecture, which includes a grand building with Arabic contours set into the side of a hill. The next sequence continues with sightseeing as the students take in the city from across the river and walking across a bridge lined with statues. In the centre of Lyon there are views of the city streets before several close ups shows students making faces at the camera. A group of students then stand on a busy high street eating ice creams. The action then turns to a square surrounded by grand buildings with a fountain in the centre; the students the gather around the fountain and the filmmaker captures people pairing off to chat amongst themselves. A lengthy sequence shows a basketball game at an indoor venue. This is followed by a wide shot that shows a large group of people gathered around a parked coach on a city street. The next shots show people standing in a field by a gate that blocks the entrance to an area surrounded by a high wire fence. The filmmaker zooms in to get a better shot of a car and a motorcycle driving along on the other side, before turning his attention to a guard tower positioned also behind the fence. Moving on, there are shots of an industrial site taken from a train, before the action continues in a commercial port where large passenger and commercial vessels pass through. The filmmaker, now aboard a ferry, documents the journey back to England; passing ships and industrial sites dotted along the shore line. A brief view shows some students waving from a lower deck. The ferry then arrives back in England, and there are several views of the boat pulling up to dock. Title - The end.
