Several shots capture students erecting small orange tents in a green field, before the filmmaker takes sweeping pan of the campsite with students' feet sticking out of their tents. A panoramic view shows the countryside with several house nestled in between the fields. The action then moves to a beach, and a man can be seen throwing rocks into the ocean. Several shots capture a bright flowerbeds and fountains that reside on the promenade.
A man walks past several white buildings, followed by a shot of a student doing some bird watching through a sort of telescope. The next sequence shows a menagerie of animals; otters become the focus for the time, with other shots showing rabbits, pigs, goats and goldfish. The travelling group are then shown at a pebbled beach; a teacher kneels down beside a schoolgirl and chips away a rock with a fossil hammer. The group then walk down a beach and the sequence concludes with a close up of a fossilised rock.
The students and teachers, all of whom wear colourful waterproofs, walk on the grass beside a road and one student waves to the camera. The filmmaker then captures a fish in a pond and a student holding out a crab, which flexes its claws. Another view shows a crustacean moving across a rock, and this is followed by a shot of students chiselling away at a large rock with a hammer on the beach. Overcast by shadow, a male student poses above on a rock, before another boy conducts a mock interview with a girl and then with a man wearing a stripped jumper.
A lengthy sequence then shows all the students that came on the trip. Using trick photography, the filmmaker takes a shot of each student wearing the same blue hoodie, and as they bend down - removing their face from shot - the shot cuts and the hoodie rises up to reveal a new student. The final sequence shows students playing rounders, and the filmmaker utilises fast motion throughout. The final shot shows the previous interview with the girl as she smiles.
