Title-Railway Rovings
There is a long sequence of shots of steam trains filmed from beside the track, from a hill looking down to the tracks as well as from bridges around the area.
Some men enter Hellifield Train Station and then the shot cuts to the men on the train leaning out of the windows as it leaves the station.
The train passes through Gisburn, Chatburn, Clitheroe, Whalley, Blackburn, and Hellifield. The camera films out of the windows and down the length of the train all the way along the route. There are people waiting on many of the station platforms that they pass through.
A train fills the screen and when it moves of there is a sign for `Bournemouth Central' train station. A large, black engine, number 34001 moves off from the station and then the `Bournemouth Belle' drives past the camera. There is a brief shot of the `Bere Alston' passing along the platform.
In the next scene some men get into the back of a car and drive off and the next shot is of the men looking out of a train as they arrive at Skipton station. The train has to stop and some people get off the train and stand on the track.
There are shots of some of the other passengers as well as the men sitting in their carriage having a meal. They arrive at `Carstairs' station where a lot of people are waiting to get on the train.
In the following section a crowd of people have gathered in a train station to watch as a few men lift a miniature train and lower it onto some tracks. Then there are a few point of view shots of some people riding along the grass on the train.
