Title-Ilkley Station Centenary Celebrations
The camera is at the end of a busy road in Ilkley and lots of traffic passes by. A van has two large speakers put onto its roof with` Ilkley' written all over it. On a wall under a clock is a banner which reads `1865 Centenary 1965'.
Outside on the platform some porters pull carts which are laden down with boxes; they unload them behind a table that has been set up on the platform. A couple of men in suits read over a page, while a woman carries boxes of food over to the table.
A train arrives at the platform and the Mayor, his wife and other dignitaries are met by a man in a tuxedo, and brought to the platform where the reception is being held.
A large crowd of men, women and children have gathered to celebrate the centenary; many people are sitting and standing around and having drinks. The man in the tuxedo starts to talk into the microphone to the waiting crowd.
There is a brief shot of the van with the speakers; the sign on the speakers reads `Cleggs Ilkley'. There are more shots of the Mayor and another man making speeches and also of the local people who have gathered.
After the speeches people have refreshment and talk to each other. There are a few final shots of the surrounding countryside.
Title-The End.
