This film is part of the Nowell collection and was made by amateur filmmaker Fred Brackenbury. It contains footage from a polo match and a flower show in Harrogate. The film opens with some flowers growing in the ground and then it cuts to a town centre with people and traffic all around. In the next section several green houses are situated on some grounds; a woman goes into one of them and there are shots of the plants and colourful flowers inside. Many other people walk along the paths and well-manicured lawns. The following scene opens with crowds of men, women and children crowding around some polo players and their horses. Following this the camera is right beside the fence which surrounds the field; the players are in the middle of a game. The next shots are taken from behind the spectators who are seated all around the field. After the match some women and a man gather around one of the players. People walking up and down and across a busy road; a policeman stands in the middle of the zebra crossing and helps people to cross safely. All around are banners for a `Spring Flower Show' and `The Daily Telegraph'. The camera lingers on some very large displays of flowers which are inside a marquee. They include bouquets of lilies and close ups of snap dragons. There is an exhibition in another display room and it comprises various types of daffodils which are in plant pots or baskets. The last shots are of the big displays of colourful flowers.
