Title-The procession
A large group of children dressed as knights, Robin Hood's Men, monks, and jesters walk along the grass. They are followed by younger children dressed as Royal Guards, and riding hobby horses, little girls dressed as fairies, children dressed as the Queen of Hearts and all of the heart cards, the Pied Piper of Hamlin and the children following him, the blackbirds in a pie, pirates, women in medieval dress, and many other characters.
Title-Rose Queens 1951 Pauline Robinson
1952 Zarita D Coates.
A huge crowd have lined the field to watch the Queens. They walk along in procession with lots of handmaidens, who throw flower petals in front of them. The hand maidens curtsey to the Queens and then they all do a medieval circle dance. The Queens watch and there are shots of the spectators who sit along the side.
In the next section the boys and girls dance around the May pole and the Pied Piper plays his pipe and other children dance around him.
