The next shot shows a rural village and a house which has a police gate. There are then shots of the cadets climbing across a rope ladder over a stream. There are then several takes of a cadet instructor talking to the camera, before some of the cadets are shown packing away their equipment. The next sequence opens with cadets on a cliff face. They slowly move down the ledge, guiding a boy in a stretcher. More shots show the kids in the countryside in their orange jackets. Several shots show the boy using radios and tending to an injured cadet. Note: Many scenes have several takes. The film opens with a police car pulling up to a house. A police officer exits the vehicle and greets his wife and child. A clapper board snaps down, and a female cadet at a typewriter tears of a note and hands it out of shot before the camera zooms in to her cadet badge. Another officer then answers a telephone. The next shot shows a modern block of flats. The next sequence shows cadets in a gym playing basketball and gymnastics. More shots show the exteriors of cadet living quarters which are modernist blocks. A close up then shows a sign that reads, 'The West Yorkshire constabulary cadet training school and hostel'. A group of cadets then stand around looking at a mocked up murder scene which involves a woman in a car. The next shot shows some of the cadets playing sports such as shot put. There are then shots of the crowd before a shot shows a sign that reads, 'Pannal Ash Police training college'. The cadets, now in full police uniforms, stand around a car accident scene where a motorist has knocked a bike rider. Shots then show cadets walking around the training the college main building. Shots then capture some of the crowd cheering before there are views of a rugby match and high jump. The final sequence captures vehicle training where a car skids round a car park.
