Thrills and Spills
Exciting race for Ulster Grand Prix-won by W.L. Handley of Coventry.
The film starts with a shot taken from above looking down onto a field where the riders have gathered with their bikes. They pin numbers onto their backs and check their bikes; this is followed by a panning shot of the field.
At the starting post two motorcyclists wait to begin their race; they race along a country road and around a corner. One of them takes the corner too tightly and crashes into the ditch; the rider is thrown out of shot and some of the race marshals run over to help him up. Several more riders crash at exactly the same spot.
A huge crowd of spectators wait at the finish line as the winner arrives in. There is a banner advertising Dunlop Tyres, which is visible over the 'finish' banner.
A couple of motorcyclists walk towards the camera surrounded by spectators and then there is a shot of one of them, possibly the winner, sitting on his bike, blowing his nose and then shaking hands with a man in a suit.
