Crowds of spectators line a street and watch as motorcyclists ride up to the starting post and ride away one at a time, after getting the go ahead from the time keeper. Several bikes with sidecars and passengers make their way along a country mud track. They ride through a stream with rocks and then up onto a path; the stream is flanked by large crowds of spectators. Title-1933 At a starting post in the town square, the bikes wait for the nod from the time keepers. They ride through a deep, rocky pond, while being bounced and knocked about the place. A few bikes with sidecars make their way through another rocky stream; one of the teams is followed into the water by a donkey! Title-The only difference was that the third one left the course! Let’s see that bit again. The shot with the donkey is played again. There is a sequence of shots of bikes riding along grassy tracks, through streams and into deep, rocky ponds. Title-Motorcycle Grand National Title-Reliability Trial There are shots of the riders leaving from the time keepers and driving up into the rough fields and through the forest. One man falls off the bike and has to get out of the way of an on-coming bike.  They make their way along a rocky stream and along the forest paths. Back at the start, and more bikes leave the starting post and follow the course. Riders gather in a town square, smile at the camera and then set off when given the go ahead by the timekeeper. Title-The Water Splash called Styx! The rider Sticks! The mud Sticks! There is a shot taken from a height looking onto a large stoney puddle of water; many of the riders fall off their bikes into it or get stuck. Title-Fairy Dell…but our friends don’t believe in ‘em! There is a sequence of shots of riders going along roads, up and down hills into water and falling off their bikes. Following this are more shots of the competitors taking off at the start of the race, riding into the water and up muddy hills. There is a short sequence with a rider getting stuck in the mud, falling in it and his bike having to be pulled out with a rope. Taking heavy toll after overnight rains. A bunch of riders and spectators are gathered at the starting point; one of the competitors rides off. There is a long sequence of shots of the competitors as they ride down muddy slopes into streams, along bumpy grassy tracks and up a steep, muddy hill. Several of the motorbikes have a lot of smoke coming out of them as they try to get up the hill. There is a shot of some men helping the riders to drag their bikes out of mud or up a hill.
