The cyclists ride down a hill, past the camera and turn into a road beside a country pub. The following scene opens with a group of boys playing on roller skates, out the front of a house. One of the boys rolls precariously along while his friends stand around watching. Then they play with swords in the front garden. There is a sequence of brief shots of a man walking out of his house and down the road towards the camera and of a young man standing fishing at the side of a river. The following shots are of the cyclists again as they ride down a hill. They take a break at the side of a road and study a map and then they head off again along a road in the moors.
