The first shot is of two men pouring petrol from one container into another one and then a shot from a slight height looking onto the crowd of motor cross riders and spectators that have gathered along a road. There are further shots of men pouring petrol into their tanks, revving their engines and making final checks of their bikes.
At the starting flag, the bikes line up in pairs and take off down the straight, open road. The judges stand together and write notes. There are some close-up shots of the spectators watching from the side of the road as well as the riders waiting at the starting line. There are shots taken from a height looking down the road at the bikes speeding towards the camera. There are a few brief shots of the spectators cheering at the camera and some other motor cyclists speeding down the road.
Title-Another type of `non-basic' event- The RAC Training Scheme for novice riders.
There is a shot of a leaflet titled `Learning to Ride' and this is followed by a group of men gathered around a motorcycle in a yard.
Title-At the opening `lessons' at Odsal, the Chief Constable of Bradford watches famous riders instructing the first pupils.

Title-And Mr, Harry Hornby, managing Director of Odsal Stadium also recaptures that `first ride' feeling.
The man pushes a bike along and then starts to run with it and hops on; he cycles around and about.
