This film from the C.H. Wood collection is one of several family films that he made. It contains footage of Mrs Wood, David and Heather Wood, as well as Mrs Wood's sister and new baby boy.
The film opens beside a busy river with a bridge going across it. A couple sit on a bench looking at the river, while boats sail on it.
The scene cuts to a house where young Heather Wood is sitting on a doorstep holding a small baby; she smiles at the baby. In the next shot a man is holding the baby while another woman keeps rubbing the baby's cheek with her finger.
David and Heather Wood, their mother, and another boy stand in the garden smiling at the camera and then the shot cuts to the baby on his mother's lap; his father is beside them. Then Mrs Wood is holding the baby while the rest of them all stand around and smile. The baby pulls at Heather's hair and then has his mouth wiped by somebody. The baby's mother puts him into the pram and then there are some lingering shots of him.
Mrs Wood, Heather Wood, and Mrs Wood's sister stand outside of the house smiling at the camera while the baby's father checks his watch against a sun dial.
In the next scene the baby is approximately two years old and he walks through flower beds carrying a toy truck. He runs the wheels along the rocks all around the flowerbeds and then walks towards the camera. Then he picks up a ball and this is followed by lingering shots of his sitting along the walls.
The final shots capture Mrs Wood, David, and Heather, as well as Mr and Mrs Purcell, their son Barry, and another boy walking through Lister Park. They walk towards the camera in a line and then sit on the grass and smile. Mr Purcell kisses his wife on the cheek and they both laugh.
