This is the third part of a series of three films showing the demolition of the old bus depot at Wombwell and the building of the new one. The film opens at the rear of a newly built Yorkshire Traction building with a hole in the wall, ready for a door to go. Two women walk away. There is a green truck for Wilcox Brothers builders. The truck is being loaded with earth and rubble. The derelict ground behind the building is being prepared by earth movers to make a space for buses to park. A concrete foundation is laid. Telephone poles are put in place, and a large bus wash is rigged out. There is a make-shift office and more building work taking place inside a building. Women are working in an office. A group of workers pose for the camera. The canteen is shown when it is closed. Other parts of the building are also shown, including the maintenance pit, which a single decked red and cream bus drives over. The inside of the bus is shown. There is more construction work, and the film returns to the office where the women are writing. In an open space behind some houses three women in blue uniforms pose for the camera, joined by a man. A large block is lifted by a crane onto the top of the bus wash being built, and then lifted back down again.
