Made by members of the Harrogate Cine Club, this film shows the marriage of a couple on September the eleventh, 1954.
Two men with white flowers in their jacket pockets walk towards the camera. Then the camera looks at a group of people who are standing outside the church, waiting for the bridge to arrive. One man smokes a cigarette. Two older women, possibly the mothers of the bridge and groom, then walk towards the camera. Then come four bridesmaids, all young children. Four are dressed in pink and the very youngest is dressed in what appears to be white or light blue.
The bride and her father arrive. She wears a tiered white dress with a high collared neck and long sleeves.
There are shots of the wedding flowers.
People come out of the church. The bride and groom stand and pose to have their photograph taken. They then have photos with family members and the bridesmaids. People throw rice.
The camera briefly looks at another couple. The woman is holding a baby.
Then there is footage of the wedding cake, which is adorned with flowers, followed by more of the bridesmaids.
At a train station (a sign indicates platform five) the couple, on a train, say goodbye from the carriage window. The bride shakes rice from her hat.
