People stand at, and walk around on, the dock. There is a large boat carrying a crowd of passengers, and the boat says "Teal" on the side. Another boat with "Bowness Lakeside" on it also passes by.
Intertitle: "Bowness on Windermere and pier".
A boat comes in to dock. In the background is the "Old English Hotel". In another shot, there is a sign visible for the "Belsfield Hotel".
Intertitle: "Ambleside, head of the lake".
There are people walking on a path near the water. This footage provides good views of people and what they are wearing. There are some swans and their cygnets on the lake.
Intertitle: "The famous Kirkstone Pass and Inn".
A bus marked "private" heads towards the camera. It appears to have the registration: "DON 88". There is a car (registration: "737 JBB") parked on the road with a woman stood by the door. Next to her is a sign which reads: "Warning to cyclists - this hill is dangerous". There is a sheep stood at the other side of the road.
The camera looks at an inn. On the front door, there is a sign which reads: "1500 feet above sea level. Michael H Dand (proprietor) licensed for music and dancing. Wiat Kinson licensed to sell ales wines spirit and tobaccos". A family enters the pub with a dog on a lead. There is a view of a country road with cars passing by. In the background is the "Brotherswater Hotel".

The family who are previously seen entering the inn picnic outside their car with their dog. One of the girls butters bread on a table while the dog watches her. They fry sausages in a pan. There are various views of the landscape.

There are shots of the bridge. The family sit at the water's edge. The lake appears incredibly blue. One of the girls floats on a lilo. There is a shot of a town, a sign reading: "Westmorland".

There are views of the town and church.
Intertitle: "Lake Derwentwater".
The camera looks at the sparkling lake. A woman passes over a stone bridge. A bird sits on a barbed wire fence. Someone off screen feed bread to their bird out of their hand. The bird hovers hesitantly and eats it.
Intertitle: "One of Keswick's most beautiful roads, Keswick to Grasmere".
There are scenic views, and footage of the family camped again.

There is a shop with tables set up outside to display products.
Intertitle: "Wordsworth's cottage, Swan Inn, and last resting place".
The camera looks at the cottage, which has a sign near the front gate: "Wordsworth's Cottage. For admission apply to shop opposite. Closed on Sundays". Another sign: "Who does not know the famous Swan from Wordsworth's 'Waggoner'." There are shots of the Swan Hotel. The camera then looks at the exterior of a church and its stained glass windows. The graves of William and Mary Wordsworth are also shown.

There are many people with their trousers rolled up who are paddling in a stream.

In the village, the camera looks at the "Queen's Head Hotel" and at a woman looking in a shop window.

There are people sitting on the grass and swimming.

There are people in the water, some fishing with nets, followed by views of the town.
