Title - Melody in Flowers
Title - The tulip is fast becoming springtime's most favoured flower, with its vast range of variety and colours. The film shows lots of different coloured tulips in a field. There are sticks placed against some to show their species. One the camera shows reads "Tulipa Praestans Fusilier.
A large building is visible in the background of some of the shots.
People crowd at a stall selling tulips. Two women work behind, wrapping the flowers in paper for the customers.
Three women get out of a black car. The one that the camera mostly focuses on wears a tiara, a white dress and white fur coat. The two other women are dressed similarly. The car has a flag on the front that says "Miss Tulip Land". The car has strings of flowers covering it. The three women walk accompanied around a tulip garden.
There are patches with flowers arranged to form pictures. One has paper in front of it that says "Church Lads' Brigade - Third Prize".
A man, wearing blackface, stands on the street. He has with him a cart with tulips and holds leaflets. The camera then shows him talking to another man in blackface, who is dressed as a clown.
Floats covered in flowers go down the street, with crowds gathered to watch from the pavement. There are several girls on floats waving to people. Some of the floats are adverts for companies, including: "Smokeless Fuel", "Britain's Leading Supermarkets", "Flower Drum Song", "Lowland Bulb Co.", "Interflora - we telegraph flowers". A shot is interspersed which shows a pile of picked flowers, which would be used on a float.
Title - The End
The end title is shown over a logo made of flowers for the Civil Defence Corp.
