The family are visiting a Steam Rally at Wilsic Hall near Doncaster. The steam engines parade around a field with some vintage cars. There is a fairground organ playing, and one of the boys is riding on a carousel. The two boys and their mother enjoy an ice cream. Large crowds mingle around the traction engines. There is a race of lorries loaded with potatoes. There is a demonstration of some farming equipment and a Salvation Army Band, with a radar and canon in the background. On their way back they film some country dancing in Tickhill, followed by Morris dancers doing a sword dance.
They then visit the Lifeboat Station showing the winch which pulls in the boat, The Cuttle, on 'Flamborough Life-Boat Day' Monday 3rd August. Other boats are tethered on the side of the steep concrete sea wall. They play with the miniature lifeboat where people can make any donations. The lifeboat is filmed taking visitors for a ride. The passengers disembark on the beach. The life boat is then shown being launched. The tide being out, it has to be pulled the final few yards to the sea. The beach is packed with sunbathers. Again the lifeboat returns with its passengers and it is hauled back to its Station. The film switches to the harbour at Bridlington, with people walking around the pier, and the two boys play on the boating lake at the front of Bridlington.
