The film opens on a procession going down Middlewood Road, in Hillsborough, with people watching from the pavements. It is led by a marching band, followed by school children, the Boys Brigade, the Girl Guides and other groups with banners, one stating, 'Jesus come to me'. At the rear are women with pushchairs and buses. Near a row of shops, a three-wheeler car and a milk float go past. The beginning of the procession is captured from another vantage point with a large banner and what looks like a May Queen. There is then a gap before a walking race, the annual Sheffield Star Walk, passes by the same stretch of street, with a lorry in the background for 'Harry Slack'. Cars pass by, a couple of Morris Minors, a Mini, a VW van, Bedford vans and a lorry for 'Newbould's Bread Cakes'. More walkers pass as they film comes to an end.
