This film is from the collection of films made by Bradford College in the 1960s and 1970s. It comprises footage from the college hair dressing salon, where one of the students practices styling a woman's hair.  It is a continuation of 4235. The first shot in this film is of a sink and the hair dressers equipment which is organised in a segregated box. Then the shot cuts to the salon where an asian man is putting rollers into a woman's hair. There are already a row of them in her hair but the camera zooms in to watch how he combs the hair and puts the rest of them in. The next shot is of the woman's reflection in the mirror; she is chatting to the hairdresser as he works away. Once all her hair is in curlers, the hairdresser sits her down at a hair dryer. After her hair has been set, the hairdresser starts to remove the curlers; the film has been sped up for this process. Then he brushes her hair, pins up sections of it, and backcombs some other parts. There is another shot of the hair dressers equipment box and then a final shot of him putting the finishing touches to her hairstyle.
