This film which is part of the Bradford College Collection contains footage from a couple of different activities within the college. The first activity filmed is a photography session which also shows how the film is developed after the photographs have been taken. The second piece of footage is from an event in a large hall; it is most likely a dinner organised for a ceremony or award giving.
Before the film, there is a brief black and white shot of a man doing a handstand on two sticks on a podium; he slowly lowers himself down again as people watch.
The film opens with a shot of a young woman sitting in front of the camera; she smiles at it. Camera moves back to reveal a young man setting up a photography session in a studio; the woman is sitting on a stool against a coloured backdrop. As he plugs in the lights there is a brief shot of the woman's legs. The man brings a camera on a tripod over and places it down in front of the woman. This is followed by a shot, which is viewed from over the photographer's shoulder as he takes pictures of the woman.
In the next scene another young Indian man, wearing a turban, is working in the photography lab. He takes some film out of an envelope, removes a glass plate from a piece of equipment and places the film onto this plate. He puts the plate with the film into the machine, takes a piece of photographic paper out of a box and places it onto the screen below the machine and presses a button. He then passes the piece of paper to another young man who is standing beside him. This second man puts the photographic paper into several different trays to develop the photo.
The next scene takes place at the bottom of a stone stair case; a large flower bed with brightly-coloured flowers is situated beside the stairs. The sequence has been sped up and many people walk up and down the steps. Following this is a shot taken from the top of the stair case and of another large flower bed; again the sequence is sped up so lots of people walk to and fro.
The camera is placed at one end of a long, wood panelled corridor; there are shots of a large hall full of flowers and a semi-circular table with place settings. On the floor in the centre of the table is a big arrangement of flowers with a small water fountain in the middle.
The film finishes with many other shots of the hall and corridor, taken from different angles and a shot of a table with a big gold trophy on it.
