Title - Glasgow's busy riverside.
In the opening sequence of this film, the filmmaker captures various ship sailing through Glasgow dock, and industrial equipment can be seen in the background
Title - Cargo is being loaded on to the S.S. Lochgarry.
A multitude of shots show cargo being loaded by a crane onto the ship, while passengers, wearing attire which reflects their affluent background, wait on deck. An industrial transportation boat carries cars across the dock.
Title - 11-45 a.m. we move away down the River Clyde.
A boat leaves the harbour and the filmmaker then captures the passengers on the boat. A large ship called 'Manchester Progress' pulls into the harbour, where prospective passengers wait. Cutting, immediately the boat sets off again, and onboard, a man stands on deck wearing a traditional Scottish hat. Sailing through the harbour, the boat passes an enormous steam liner docked quayside, and in the next shot, the filmmaker captures the steam boat being towed from the harbour by a tug boat.
Title - The 'Beath of a giant'. R.M.S. Queen Elizabeth.
From several different positions the filmmaker shows the R.M.S. Queen Elizabeth in the shipyard currently under construction.
Title - Whilst the remainder of the cargo is being shipped at Greenock. We watch L.M.S. steamer leaver Gourock.
On the dock a large group of men wearing flat caps idle, and in the background sits the L.M.S. steamer which, in the following shots, casts off and sails away from Gourrock packed with tourists.
Title - The Lochgarry's smaller sister the St. Columba homeward bound.
The St.Columba, a large passenger ship, navigates through the waters.
Title - As we leave Clyde, the glory of the setting sun seems to herald a treat in store on the morrow.
An expansive shot of the waters just off Clyde shows the sun setting off in the distance.
Title - The next day we are bearing north towards the Isle of Mull.
With the camera now placed aboard a ferry, the filmmaker captures various shots from the boat of the coastal landscape, the bow cutting through the waters and seagull soaring above the boat, before the a steamship densely populated by passengers sails past.
Now on land, a white building with read lettering reads ' Tobermory', and on the next level, more red lettering reads 'Macbraynes'. A panoramic view reveals the Isle of Mull's shore land, with multi-storey buildings linig the banks and other buildings built into the higher echelons of the Isle. Dock workman wearing vests and flat caps unload cargo from a boat.
Title - The beautiful aros falls.

Title - North of Mull, we make a brief call at the isle of Eigg.
A small motor boat is docked alongside a larger anchored ship, and workmen transport cargo from the larger ship onto the small motor boat which then makes off bearing towards land. There are also veraious shots of the Isle of Eigg's coastline.
Title - Now we are heading for the 'Misty' isle of Skye.
From the boat, the filmmaker captures the journey towards the Idle of Skye, crossing the calm waters.
Title - There is no sign of mist at Amadale.
The boat pulls in towards Armadale, and on a pier several men pull the ropes attached to the boat. From a distance, the filmmaker shows pople disembarking from the boat and walking across a long pier onto shore. Cargo from the boat is unloaded on to shore using a winch system, and two sailors guide the cargo down.
Title - Captain M'Lean has something to say about it.
The captain stands on the bridge conversing with unseen sailors below.
Title - Kyle of Lochalsh is the nearest mainland point to the Skye and far western terminus of the L.M.S railway.
In the opening shot of this sequence, a passenger ferry sails towards the quay where it docks. Following this, a steam locomotive pulls away from a multi-tracked station, and the ferry funnel can just be seen behind the station. Returning to the ferry, cargo is again loaded on board using crane which lowers it below deck. Next, there are myriad shots of activity in the dock; a sea gull rests briefly on a wooden crate, men unload cargo from a truck onto a small motor boat and boats idling the around the waters.
Title - The evening gives a portent of real Skye conditions.
An expansive view from the coast of Skye shows a golden sun set on horizon.
Title - In the morning the Cullin Hills are rising out of a grey Isle & we look forward to our sail up the coast of Skye.
Expansive view of Cullin Hills, which lies beyond calm waters and a lighthouse perched on a small Island. Next, the filmmaker captures a multitude of shots showing the Cullin hills from different positions as the boat sails down the Loch.
Title - Portree. Pretty capital of the Island.
The ferry now approaches the dock at Portree, and sailors stand at the bow of the ship preparing for the docking procedure. From an elevated position, the passenger ferry is moored by the dock, and in the background there are hills surmounting the area. Succedding this is a sequence which shows Portree dock; passengers wait around on the banks, sailors operate and load the winch which excavates the cargo from the depths of the ship, and once the cargo is on dry land, workmen cart the various crates and bags away. Next, a couple of shots show boats anchored in the loch.
Title - We call at Staffin on the north of the Island, before crossing to the mainland.
From a passenger boat, the filmmaker captures several shots of the Staffin coastline, then, more cargo is hoisted from the ship onto a small row boat commandeered by three men, and the captain watches from the bridge.
Title - In the mellow light of a northern evening, we reach Gairloch, and see far famed Loch Maree in a mantle of gold.
Several houses nestle amounts the hilly coastal line surrounded by dense forest. Cutting away from this scene, several groups of tourists stand on the Loch bank, some look at the camera while others converse amonst themselves. Following this, there are several expansive views Gairloch and the Loch Maree, which are encircled by the towering hills.
Title - In a sheltered inlet further north, lies the rather barren villiage of Ullapool.
At the bow of the ferry, sailors wait expectantly as the pulls in to anchor at Ullapool. Now in the village of Ullapool, a horse drawn cart carries a man and several metal containers down a street predominantly lined by white terraced houses.
Title - The falls of Measach are not far distant.
Rushing water cascades down the falls of Measach.
Title - We approach Lochinver along a coastline of fantastic beauty.
From a moving ferry, the filmmaker captures various shots of the coastline that runs along Lochniver, before the ferry bears towards a dock. Now on dry land, the initial shot in this sequence reveals the docked ferry, before cutting away to a man fishing in a river below a stone bridge.
Title - A few miles from Cape Wrath, we 'turn round' in heavy rain.
Wide views show the coastline around the loch again, before another row boat pulls alongside. Cargo is then hoisted onto the row boat from the ferry, then it rows off towards land.
Title - The next day, in glorious weather, we are passing Eigg again.
With the camera again onboard the ferry, it shows the wide reaching coastline of Eigg and its oblique landscape, then, a white sail boat navigates the waters, and off in the distance, a lighthouse stands alone on an island.
Title - When we reach Tobermony, the Mull Highland Games are in full swing.
A crowd of people sit on a hill overlooking a sports field, where a pole vault competition is underway. The event also includes entertainment; a bagpipe player in full traditional dress is followed by traditional highland dancers wearing kilts. Next, the filmmaker captures several different events including log tossing, shot put and running races. In the centre of Tobermony, a full bag pipe band (including percussion), again in fall highland regalia, play to a large gathered crowd.
Title - Our last port of call. Beautiful Oban.
In the Port of Oban, a ferry sails through the calm waters and a man in a row boats paddles gently out to sea. Various shots show boats such as catamarans and sail boats anchored, before the filmmaker cuts to the coast line, which features grand architecture; including a feint glimpse of a castle.
Title - Seals and lobsters are amongst Oban's many attractions.
The filmmaker focuses on beached seals laying on a stretch of rock. In the following shots, a man holds a lobster up to the camera, and there is a shot of several lobsters persevered in a bucket.
Title - Nearly every visitor to Oban motors to Ballachulis and through the grim pass of Glencoe.
A ferry transports cars onto the shore, which then drive off through the valleys weaving a path between the imposing mountains. A herd of sheep are shepherded down a stretch of road, incidentally holding up a bus that has ground to a hault. The final shot in this sequence shows an expansive view of the verdant oblique landscape.
Title - We find pedigree Highland cattle at Kimelfort.
Highland cows graze in the long grass, while in the background lies scenic hillside and houses set in amongst the steep gradients.
Title - Ganavan beach make us long to stay in Oban for many days.
From a moving boat, a beach can seen stretching out along the shore, with huts and people just within view. Now on the beach, the filmmaker captures holiday makers enjoying the beach; some canoe, other plash around in the shallows, while others simply lounge in the sun. A single engine red aeroplane flies over head. The focus then shifts to a very young baby who, dressed in a wee bonnet, paddles in the water with help from her parent, then sits on the sand looking decidedly grumpy.
Title - Then the glory of Oban's eventide.
Sun sets behind an Island off in the distance.
Title - As our cruise nears its close, we long to turn north again and join the sea birds in their endless patrol of the rugged masterpieces of nature.
In the closing sequence, the filmmaker plays particular attention to the seagulls flying alongside the ferry, with the rugged landscape proving the backdrop. An expansive shot of a glorious sunset closes the film.
