This film contains footage of the centre of Shipley and some of the buildings that are under construction. This film is part of the C.H. Wood collection which spans the period from 1920 until 2009. The collection includes films with many different topics including industrial documentaries, local events, educational and amateur titles and some of the Wood family home movies. The majority of the films were made by Harold Wood and his son David Wood who were both involved in the running of the film and photography company C.H. Wood. The film opens with a shot of a town centre and busy traffic taken from a bit of a distance away. There is a lingering shot of a building, which is under construction and then a shot of the town. There are shots of a derelict site with bulldozers working in the background. A four-storey building is situated on a block of its own and this is followed by then a shot which has been taken from the top of a building looking down onto a car park. There is more footage of the town centre which has been taken from high up and several buildings away. There are also other large office blocks in the area. Shot of the town centre but this time the island in the centre of the roundabout is all just rubble. There is a shot of a large, ornate gate and then a final shot of the city and of construction sites taken from a high vantage point.
