The film opens with a map of an area of East Sussex around Burwash. A family set out in their car, stopping for tea and cake at a spot with a nice view. The boy is dropped off, and again the map is shown with a picture of a brochure for 'bewl bridge reservoir', followed by a map of the reservoir. The family have a picnic at the side of the reservoir. They settle down to watch some country dancing, performed in historic dress, in the car park, including a solo Morris dancer dancing to a fiddler. They take a boat trip on the reservoir, passing many sailing boats. The family then plays ball with their dog before taking a look at Wadhurst College boarding school, where they sit and watch a girls netball match. There is a sign for Little Pashley Farm where they are staying.
The family are in their holiday home with a swimming pool, where they play with the dog. A group of people are having tea, before they clean out the swimming pool and then re-fill it. They all take a break with tea, and beer, and sandwiches. They then pour some liquid into the pool and cover it with a plastic sheet. A woman speaks on an old style mobile phone. In the garden a large tree has been blown over. The family do some gardening and then play with the children with a rugby ball and the film comes to an end.
