This film contains footage of a number of cricket matches which took place in 1973 featuring the Railway Clerks based in Hull.
The film opens with a book and cup situated on a green sheet. The book cover is not visible due to overexposure. Following this is a shot of a field by the bend in a railway line. There are two horses lying down in the field, and a factory in the distance can be seen in the distance before a train passes by.

A group of men are practicing on a cricket field. There is a man at bat, and a net is set up behind him in order to catch any balls which get away. The bowler and other team members can be seen out in the field. The men are all dressed in white, and different members of the team take turn to bat.
There are shots of the field from a number of different angles bringing into view the surrounding area. Later, after practice, the groundskeepers tend to the lawn. One man pushes a lawnmower while another rides on a tractor.

There is a brief shot of the umpires walking down steps. This shot is double-exposed. Following this is footage of the cricket match which takes place on a sunny day. The footage is shot from ground level and quite close to the field. At the end of the match, the winning team is presented with a small trophy.

Burton Constable Hall can be seen from the end of the long drive. Following this is footage of the festivities around the cricket match. There are many people who are dressed in Victorian costume, and a few tents have been set up. The game begins, and a large crowd of spectators is gathered in a circle around the field.
