This film captures a parade in Sheffield in 1965. Included in the film are images of many of the floats which make up the parade as well as scenes of the city centre.
The film starts in Sheffield City Centre with a policeman on horseback and the John Lewis store in the background. A crowd lines the streets, and a procession led by majorettes rounds a corner into Barkers' Pool passing in front of the Gaumont Cinema (showing 'A High Wind in Jamaica'). These are followed by a horse drawn brewery dray, and many other floats including: one for a Stanley, for Hatfield's, the Sea Scouts, Firth Vickers, Ingram's, Sheffield First, the Riley Elf car, Firth Brown, Wards (with a Dr Who float), and the University of Sheffield. After the procession has passed traffic is shown again going around the roundabout in front of the Town Hall. Here, the film comes to a close.
