In their respective bedrooms at the hotel they are all staying in the boys and girls get ready for their night out on the town with the girls doing each other’s hair, putting on makeup and chatting happily over glasses of vodka while the boys simply spike their hair, put on a clean shirt and are ready to go. One of the girls does an impression of Geordie footballer Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoigne while another makes a toast to Newcastle and the Manchester girls.
In the hotel bar as the girls sit around enjoying drinks and are joined by the boys. One of them conducting a mock interview with members of both groups with everyone laughing as each of them makeup saucy professions for themselves. The sequence ends with one of the girls falling over laughing.
The women come out of the hotel and get into their minibus which will take them to their first bar of the evening along the Newcastle Quayside. During the journey they work up a plan of action for the night setting some challenges to find out if the people of Newcastle have any hidden talents.
The Leeds lads arrive at their first destination, a bar in the suburb of Jesmond. Inside a large crowd around the bar with the boys at one end drinking. As one of the group talks about having a good time and a laugh they meet up with a group of women on a hen night. The women challenge the boys to a dare and as they all moon the women much to their amusement. The mooning is repeated in slow-motion.
Across town in a bar along the Newcastle Quayside the Manchester girls drunkenly accompany a local woman as she sings ‘Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue’ by Crystal Gayle and a local man as he sings Elton John’s ‘Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.’ A different Geordie women dances for the girls after which a second man does a handstand to impresses the girls. In another bar as the Manchester boys drink bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale while shouting ‘Toon Army! Toon Army!’ Outside several takeaways on the Bigg Market a woman begins to unbutton the shirt of one of the Manchester boys after which he pulls out one of her breasts which she sees as funny. His mate comes over and they laugh and chat about Geordie girls.
Four women look up and see one of the Manchester girls mooning them from an upstairs bar. As she dances on the table surrounded by her friends, she explains why there is no point in going out of your not going to dance. A montage of all the Manchester Girls dancing in a night club and having a good time,
Outside the Sunlight Chambers on the Bigg Market two of the Manchester lads drunkenly dance along to a ‘The Tide is High’ by Blondie being performed by two street buskers. All five of the lads get a chance to explain why they believe Newcastle is a better place to go out in than Manchester after which one of them explains why his friend can’t hold his alcohol. As one of them nearly falls asleep against a shop window the boys form a group huddle in order to sober themselves up so they can get into the final club of the night where they plan to meet up with the Manchester girls.
Inside Tiger Tiger on Newgate Street as the girls pour drinks from a large jug, they are joined by the still very drunk Leeds lads. A montage around the club of people dancing to ‘Where is the Love’ by the Black Eyed Peas and the boys once again in a huddle on the dance floor with one of them falling over.
