Title: Five Go Mad on Teesside
A second montage taken from the previous episode in which the five Manchester lads enjoy a night out in Leeds featuring them drinking, dancing and snogging some of the local women. On a minibus to Teesside, they talk about what they hope to see believing girls from Middlesbrough ‘are a bit more rude.’
Title: A Leisure Centre somewhere in Yorkshire
As a parachutist comes into land a crowd watches a fireworks display changes to the Leeds girls who collectively call themselves ‘The Yorkshire Girls’ introduce themselves explaining they all work together for a Yorkshire radio station. A montage of them all arriving together in a minibus and doing exciting activities such as snowboarding and reverse bungee.
Title: Five Go Mad
As the minibus arrives at their hotel on Marton Road in Middlesbrough, the boys get out and head inside where Hotel Manager Arthur attempt to convince them to eat a Middlesbrough delicacy a Parmo. They aren’t convinced with one of them complaining about to much cheese. One of the boys comes back to the hotel carrying several pizza boxes with one of the Leeds girls taking one upstairs to her room.
As the Leeds girls all put on makeup for their night out the half-empty pizza box sits on one of the beds beside them. Filmed at a later date one of the girls talks about liking unplanned nights out and how she gets on with the others in her group. In another room the Manchester lads are also getting ready with them talking about what they think of the Leeds girls. With the boys now ready they head out of the hotel back into the waiting the minibus talking about their expectations of the women of Middlesbrough. Still getting ready the girls give their opinion of the boys describing them as ‘a really nice bunch.’
At a retro music festival along the riverside at Stockton-on-Tees the Leeds girls dance happily along with the crowds to Tragedy by the Bee Gee’s and YMCA by the Village People. While the girls are enjoying themselves, the boys look sad siting around an outdoor table at The Dicken’s Inn on Southfield Road in Middlesbrough complaining about the lack of women. As the girls continues to dance happily at the festival, one of them talks to camera about always being up for anything, always laughing and smiling and doesn’t care what people thinks. Heading to the bar back at The Dickens Inn three of the boys get a chance to chat up some of the local women.
In the rain the girls head along Stockton High Street towards Goldies Bar. Two drunk men appear from inside and proceed to do a rendition of Franke Valli hit ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ for the camera. Outside Zanzibar’s night club at the other end of the high street the boys chat up some of the local women who are heading inside, everyone is drunk and having a goodtime.
Inside Goldies the boys and girls meet up and over drinks dance to ‘You’re the One That I Want’ from the musical Grease along with other songs. One of the boys takes a photograph of two of the Leeds girls beside the bar. Some of the boys give their thoughts of the Leeds girls with one of them believing he has a chance of chatting one of them up. Some of the girls talk about the lads and again describe them to be ‘nice boys.’ As one of the of the boys explains his ideal woman, he leans against the bar and is gently spanked by one of the girls using her handbag. In voiceover he explains the only reason he goes out on a night is to pull.
Taking the programme into a commercial break a montage of clips from the second part.
Title: Five Go Mad on Teesside
Behind the bar at Goldies the Leeds girls test their skills pulling a few pint, two of them talk about the experience with one believing she is a professional. The Manchester boys have their time behind the bar with one of the explaining how he got a free drink out of it. As a member of the bar staff performs a trick by juggles a cocktail shaker and glass bottle, one of the boys tells the camera outside he is having a ‘crackin’ night,’ Back inside he fails to chat up a young woman with one of his lines. As the bar begins to close for the night the staff join some of the customers in doing a can-can dance.
Back outside Zanzibar’s night clubs a line of men and women making their way inside while on the dancefloor both the Manchester lads and Leeds lasses drunkenly dance and enjoy themselves. Following the DJ requesting customers not to moon the television cameras, a montage of both men and women flashing various body parts at the camera. Around the club’s people dancing, the DJ’s spinning their decks and a crowd around the bar trying to order drinks. One of the Manchester lads passionately kisses a local woman who is wearing a pink halter top changes to another of the boys dancing around the club. Some of the boys try on their best chat up lines, one says he is a member of the British bobsled team while another tells a young woman that he’s recently won the lottery. Returning to the woman in the pink halter top she holds up her fake breast implants before allowing the Manchester lad she was kissing previously to put the back in again. She is asked about his chat up lines, she thinks he nice and a good laugh. Back on the dancefloor one of the Leeds girls dances to Ricky Martin’s ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’, in voiceover she talks about why she feels the need to dance when she hears music. One of the Manchester lads smokes a cigarette on the dancefloor rather than dancing as he explains he only dances in the bedroom. The boys and girls continue to dance happily to ‘Summer Night’ another hit from the musical Grease.
With the night drawing to a close the Manchester lads walk back to the minibus believing they’ve all had a good time. In the Leeds girl’s minibus one of them slurs her words when attempting to express how she feels about the Manchester lads. They all agree they are lovely. At a local take-away Pizza Perfection one of the boys orders a chicken parmesan while another is able to get five-free items from the owner. With a smile another member of staff in the takeaway places a sticker on his cap that reads ‘Five Go Mad’. Outside one of the lads attempts to chat up another woman waiting at a bus stop, she isn’t impressed.
Title: Goes Mad
Back at the hotel the Manchester lad who bought the chicken parmo gives up on it, while at another table one of the Leeds girls speaks with a woman behind the camera about her night, she is too drunk to get the words out, everyone laughs. The programme ends on members of both groups giving their opinion on Middlesbrough and the boys taking about the local women.
Taking the programme into the closing credits clips from the next edition in which the Leeds girls go for a ‘mad night out’ in Liverpool with five Geordie boys.
