Title: Breaking Limits
34/52
As Paul steps out of his house wearing a Saltaire Striders running shirt and puts on his running shoes, he talks in voiceover about how he first became interested in running. As he puts on a pair of headphones and heads out along a road he talks about running as being a ‘kind of escape’. A still image of him taking part in his first marathon changes to him turning and running along a canal towpath.
As his run continues, he talks about the importance of training the brain to allow you to push through barriers such as pain and discomfort. Another still image of Paul crossing the finish line of a marathon as he talks about it being a massive relief and emotional. As he comes to a stop and checks his stopwatch, he explains that he hopes that he will still be pushing boundaries when he is older.
Title: “Breaking limits involves teaching your brain, that you will be safe.” Paul
