Title: The Goal is Freedom
26/52
As Joel walks through trees makings his way towards a farm, he talks in voiceover about not wanting to be restricted. He turns onto a path passing the farm and begins to talk about the many ups and downs of owning several businesses along with his partner. A photographic montage is used featuring images from some of the businesses he and his partner owned. As he continues along the path he talks about not being afraid of failure as it is an opportunity to learn.
As Joel throws stones into a pond, he talks about not being motivated primarily by money, but that his goal is always freedom. Staring directly into the camera he talks about the freedom of time to choose what you want to do and when to do it. Another photographic montage of Joel being a father with him talking about having the flexibility to be in there for his children.
As he begins to climb a wooded hillside he talks about how the death of his daughter’s friend impacted the family. As he comes to sit on a branch overlooking the rural landscape he talks about how life is precious and must be enjoyed as well as fulfilling and not to be afraid of taking opportunities or risks. He looks at more photographs of his children on his phone.
Title: “Life is far too precious to live unimpacted by your own.” Joel
