The eighteen of thirty-seven short films produced by documentary filmmaker Tom Harmer as part of the 52Humans project. Filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic and released weekly for a year, in this film successful businesswoman April-Joy reflects on her priorities in life and the realisation that she needed to create a new rhythm to her life. Title: Rhythm 18/52 Coming into her home office and taking a seat at her laptop computer April-Joy talks in voiceover about owning a successful business in the health industry but realising that she had no time invested in other areas of her life and uses the analogy that the ladder of success was leaning against the wrong wall. A montage of family photographs changes to her playing cards with her husband and her two sons in the family’s conservatory and talking about the need for adjustments and re-alignment to spend more time with the family and built a life that is both well and fulfilled. In the garden April-Joy and her husband watch as the two boys play and do gymnastics with her talking in voiceover and asking who has time to stop and reflect? As she walks through a wood she talks about when the soul and body are integrated there is a harmony and a flow. A hillside covered in poppies and April-Joy talking about what happens to the soul when it is damaged and the need to pull-back, reflect and ask questions and allow the soul to speak. April-Joy walks over and comes to stand on a bench overlooking houses below and explains how wellbeing is an integral part of your purpose. Title: “Give yourself time to reflect and adjust to the natural rhythm of your body, mind and soul.” April-Joy End title: www. 52Humans.com
