06/52
After putting on his backpack Matt begins his walk striding out along the country road while talking in voiceover about the openness and being with your own mind. A Lakeland valley and a snowy peak in the distance with Matt talking about having the time and openness to think about things. As he uses poles to walk along a wooded hillside path he talks about finding his passion for being outdoors ten years earlier and how it has impacted in his way of life.
As Matt begins to ascend a hillside following a path around a valley, he talks about the burning desire to achieve and succeed, battling and enjoying mother nature. As Matt makes his way along a snowy track and through a snowstorm, he talks about using judgement to decide the best way forward.
In a wooded areas Matt has erected a bivouac and sips a mug tea talking about how he appreciates the surroundings and the joy this can bring. Standing in his waterproofs in the rain Matt looks back on the valley below.
