In the kitchen of her new flat Leanne Cook makes a cup of tea and talks about a big row she had with DJ flatmate Gabbi Jones and Clare Tucker and about moving out into the flat next door. Over a clip from an earlier episode showing the three women playing karaoke over glasses of wine and Leanne singing the Kylie Minogue hit ‘I Should Be So Lucky’, narrator Jonny Regan providing details on the argument which relates to Gabbi and Clare's love of partying getting to much for Leanne. Back in her new kitchen she talks about the argument and feeling sad she has to move out, but she isn’t going to hold a grudge. During their show ‘Angel and Gabrielle’ on Metro Radio FM Gabbi and Clare talk about the three of them having different lifestyles and personalities that led to the argument and Leanne moving out.
Another clip from an earlier episode featuring Leanne, Gabbi and Clare all auditioned for the role as Northeast reporter for the Richard [Madeley] and Judy [Finnigan] Show. Explaining that only Gabbi made it through to the final, Jonny Regan talks about how Leanne’s audition caught Richard Madeley’s attention. Another clip this time from the Richard and Judy Show in which Gabbi and another finalist are interviewed with Richard brings up Leanne and her terrible singing voice. A third clip this time from a ‘special report’ that Gabbi made as part of her audition taking place inside the Ikea furniture store in Gateshead in which she does a report on the Tyneside world champion meatball eater. Gabbi now waits on the viewers vote to find out if she got the job.

Back inside the Corner House in Heaton Glen is invited onto the stage as ‘the bastard offspring of Jimmy Savile.’ Intercut with clips from Glen’s bizarre performance that causes some of the audience to cringe, he talks about getting into comedy because he sees it to be a tonic for the soul. With his act over the audience applauds as he leaves the stage. At the back of the room as he gets out of his costume and talks about how it went and being pleased that he had the courage to do it.
Paul Thomas continues his consultation with his psychiatrist, but there are question marks about the surgery. Dr Reid talks about following the guidelines and the need for Paul to have dressed and lived as a woman fulltime which he has admitted he hasn’t. Paul believes the rules are flawed and questions his honesty. A clip from the first episode featuring Paul dressing as his female guise Patsy, in voiceover he talks about how he does feel these setbacks but doesn’t allow them to knock him. Dr Reid explains why he believes Paul/Patsy will eventually get the sex change operation as he thinks Pasty is committed to living in the female role as a woman and will dictate treatment. On the train back to Newcastle Paul sleeps and reflects on his past and future.
In the living room of her flat Meg Colpitts five children and eight grandchildren laugh and play games as they celebrate her 61st birthday. She talks about how a lot of things have happened to her the past year, but that it is because of her family that she is able to remain positive. As one of her grandchildren is spun around by the father, Meg comes over to stop it. Sitting back in her chair she talks about her sadness at not being able to pick up and cuddle her two youngest grandchildren one of whom comes over with her arms outstretched. Following her family singing Happy Birthday Meg takes photographs and states that she is a fighter and will survive and is determined to get well enough to give all her children and grandchildren a hug.
