Meg Colpitts walking along Summerhill Road on her way to see transsexual Paul for some less conventional healing following her recent diagnosis of lung cancer. She talks about how they met and that as well as being a tarot card and crystal ball reader Paul is also a spiritual healer. Paul begins the session by standing over Meg and placing his hands on her shoulder. He talks in voiceover about being able to tap into people’s energy. As he touches Meg’s recent surgical scar, she exclaims how amazed it was that she felt no pain which usually happens when people touch her there and how relaxed she felt. She goes onto talk about her fear of losing her hair because of the chemotherapy treatments that is going to start shortly, she explains if it wasn’t for her children and grandchildren, she wouldn’t be going through with it.
Back in London Pat and his friend wonder around the fetish fair looking for ideas. They speak with a man in a metal outfit Pat believes is to a little basic, a revealing metal thong and mask. The man chat with Pat about moving from leather into silver. A montage of some of the other leather and bondage stalls around the fair with Pat being impressed with a metal and leather gladiatorial outfit he spots at a stall similar to what he is looking to create. Sitting on the floor upstairs overlooking the fair, Pat is asked if he would ever wear any of his outfits in public. He says no explaining further.
In his top-floor high-rise flat on Westgate Road Dave Degaria(?) juggles while listing to The Animals singing ‘Don’t Let Me be Misunderstood.’ After narrator Jonny Regan provides details on Dave’s former career, he explains that he is now out of work due to stress and depression. To camera Dave records his thoughts on his illness and what it has cost him. These short snippets are intercut with a clock indicating how long Dave is sitting in front of the camera. With the sun going down Dave explains why for environmental reasons he only uses a single 15w bulb and why he can’t watch television or read anything in the media because of his anxiety and depressions.
