A montage of four different types of transport all converging on Newcastle featuring passengers in a 1st-class carriage on an Great-North East Railways (GNER) Inter-City 225 passenger train, a car driving along the A1 motorway passing the Angel of the North, an airplane coming into land at Newcastle Airport and a Tyne and Wear Metro train travelling from Gateshead into Newcastle city centre. Including with this montage the dials on a large clock moving towards mid-night. The film begins and ends with the train exiting and entering a tunnel.
