Part of the Wainwright Collection, this film captures a family holiday, possibly to Denmark, in 1953.
The film begins with a woman sitting on a chair in a garden and waving to the camera. This is followed by a view of a coast and a woman who is standing in front of a lighthouse. A large group of people, including many children, sit on a bridge in a village over which walks a woman in traditional headwear. Further along the road are stalls. A procession, led by a band of bagpipes comes past. The musicians are followed by girls in traditional costume, and there follows a long procession of people in traditional costume. A number of children stand on a cart being pulled by cattle. There is a brief view over a bay with boats before the film comes to an end.
