Description Part of the Wainwright Collection, this film features a very young Martin Wainwright and his sister Hilary on the beach at Mundesley in Norfolk in 1952.
Martin and his sister Hilary make their way to a sandy beach with their mother. Hilary jumps down onto the sand. They get changed into their swimming costumes on the beach, next to a pram with a baby in it. Hilary has a bucket and spade, and she digs a hole in the sand as the waves coming crashing in. They both paddle in the water and watch a rowing boat being pushed out.
