Part of the Wainwright Collection, this is a film of the Wainwright family on holiday in Norfolk. It also includes footage of rowing in Shrewsbury and a short sequence of a small car.
The film opens with a woman who is sitting on a deckchair on a beach. She is larking about with a boy, possibly a young Richard Wainwright with his mother. The women sits knitting and is joined by other members of the family, including her husband dressed all in white smoking a pipe, who sits in a deckchair next to her.
The film then switches to the two of them sitting in cane chairs outside a house or hotel, again joined by the boy and others. Waves are shown lapping onto the beach.
The film switches again to show a rowing crew lower their boat into the river at Shrewsbury and participate in a race. The film finishes with a boy driving a small car down a street, doing a three-point turn and pulling outside a house, with his mother in the passenger seat.
