Title: Snow Time
In the back garden of a house on Ravensbourne Avenue in West Boldon members of the Gillett family have a snowball fight. Everyone is laughing and having fun, a younger woman watches from the kitchen window. Stephen Gray appears and begins to take part in the snowball fight, snowballs are thrown at the person behind the camera.
On a small slope near to North Road in West Boldon a group of children uses plastic sacks or sheeting to slide down changing to larger crowds using a hillside known as ‘The Leap’ to do more sledding, again mostly using plastic sheeting. Many of those coming down do so at speed including a male member of the Gillett family seen previously who crashes into a wooden fence along with a boy. The two come down again but come to a stop before the fence with the boy rolling off. As people climb to the top of ‘The Leap’ views across West Boldon featuring the winding wheel of the recently closed Boldon Colliery which dominates the skyline and the spire of nearby St Nicholas church. The man and boy come down the slope twice more with the boy crashing into the fence at speed as the man rolls off.
Three members of the Gray family sit on the sofa inside their Boldon Colliery home, a couple begins to play fight using balloons. A small artificial Christmas tree stands on a stool beside the sofa changing to an older woman now sitting on the sofa between two men one of whom begins to inflate a balloon. With his balloon now inflated he begins to bang it over the woman head before letting it go and watching as it shoots off across the room.
