Title: Animation Workshops
Village Arts Loftus August 1997
Day One
Four teenagers and two women sit watching a video on how to make an animation. In groups they sit around tables discussing what they are going to produce with some writing down details.
While some of the group produce characters for their animations putting plasticine over wireframe figures, other work on the floor making backgrounds and sets. Using a video camera set up on a tripod the groups begin to animate their films.
Title: The Animations
Smugglers Tale
Standing beside a sea cave an old woman watches as a younger woman unloads cargo from a rowing boat including a barrel and crate. As the older woman carries the cargo into the cave eyes appear on what initially looks like a large rock. As the younger woman returns with more swag hearts appear beside the creature.
A man with a dog appears asking the two women what is going on. They hide their contraband with the old woman knitting as the dog walks over and urinates on the creature. As the man heads into the cave the two women roll a large rock over the entrance blocking him in all. The two women load their cargo into the rowing boat and the film ends on them sailing off into the sunset watched by the creature.

Title: Inter-Galactic Road Rage!
A spaceship crashes through the opening title before flying around planet Earth.
A man smoking a cigar drives his car at speed through a town causing a second man eating chips from a bag to drop them on the ground. He shouts after the driver angrily.
The spaceship comes into land beside a set of traffic lights after which the car crashes into it. An alien carrying a gun gets out of the spaceship and proceeds to shoot both the car and man causing the vehicle to disappear and the man to become a set of bones on the ground. The man with the chips appears and takes the driver’s hat. The film ends on the alien waving at the camera and flying away.
