Believed an unused filmed item for a magazine style programme produced by deaf students of the North East Media Training Centre (NEMTC) about Hitesh Lakhani, a deaf professional snooker player. Filmed at the Gateshead Snooker Centre reporter Ranjit Singh watches as Hitesh practices for a tournament before asking him questions about his training.
Outside the Gateshead Snooker Centre reporter Ranjit Singh introduces his report on Hitesh [Lakhani], a deaf professional snooker player. Heading inside he sits as the bar as Hitesh arrives. The two men shake hands, Hitesh explains he has just come up from London and wants to get some practice in before a match tomorrow. They order drinks.
Snooker tables inside a darkened hall changes to a montage of still images relating to the sport. On one of the tables Hitesh begins to play a game of snooker with another man intercut with cartoons on the walls of the club featuring some of snookers most famous players including Alex Higgins, Steve Davis and Ray Reardon.
Holding a snooker cue Ranjit comes over and he and Hitech chat about the hours of practices he needs to put in for tournaments in order to beat hearing people. Returning the table Hitech takes another shot potting a red ball. The film changes to him now wearing a smart suit and bowtie potting a black. The report ends on him performing a series of trick shots for the camera.
